Systemic Cycles: Field Tour Zürich – Glatttal
Systemic Cycles: Field Tour Zürich – Glatttal
An exploration of systems beyond sustainability by bicycle in Züri-Nord, the uprising Glatttal – Systemic-Cycles is a systems thinking and scale-linking design slow tourism exploration.
We ride the bike to sense the topology and structure of an area and interconnect interesting spots and actors: direct trade coffee, insights in project-based education (ETH Focus-projects at ETH Hangar / Collaborate at ETH Hangar – Partnerships for Innovation | ETH Zurich) and sustainable agriculture in this highly developed area. The tour is didactically framed through the DRRS Systems Sensing and Mapping booklet which participants will receive.
Tour: Start at ETH Polyterasse (8:45) or directly at Bahnhof Stettbach (9:25). We ride from Stettbach to ETH Hangar Dübendorf. Option to step out at around 12:15 (Dübendorf, Bahnhof) or to ride back to ETH around Züriberg (arrival around 13:30).
Systemic-Cycles (https://www.systemic-cycles.org/) is a methodology implemented in the DRRS-Designing Resilient Regenerative Systems Program - Systemic Design Labs program at ETH Zürich and hosted by the MonViso Institute.
